Amy Rose- Ebony Chaos

Part 19 (Light)
    Shadow, Mephiles, and Amy had used Chaos Control to warp to Amy's house. Cream was in front of the house with Big and another hedgehog that Shadow didn't recognize. He was all black with deep blue eyes and spikes on his forehead. He had blue markings at the corner of his eyes that resembled Shadow's markings, a white patch of fur on his chest, and a little deep blue chao. Cream and the mysterious new hedgehog were playing tag, and their chao were desperately trying to keep up. Big was standing there laughing and holing his frog. To Cream, even if the world was about to come to an end in four days, she still could find a way to have fun. The hedgehog child slipped an fell in the mud, but Cream just smiled and laughed. The hedgehog started to pout, but after looking at Cream started to laugh too. Mephiles glared at the hedgehog, as if he knew him. Mephiles was looking at the small gem he was holing as well . . .
    "Wow, Ash! You're pretty fast."
    "Ya think so?"
    "Yeah!"
    "He's almost as fast as Sonic!" Big said to encourage the little hedgehog. Big smiled and Ash blushed. He was a really young hedgehog . . . Big looked over at Shadow, Mephiles, and Amy. Amy was still in Shadow's arms, and Mephiles was so weak he had to kneel on the grassy ground; he couldn't stand up. Mephiles breathed in deeply and closed his eyes. Ash looked over at Mephiles and his expression turned from playful to shocked. Shadow seemed out of it, but was still confused on who the small hedgehog was. Amy's frail body was nestled in Shadow's arms and she was unconscious. Shadow could feel her warm body against his chest. Big's grin was also wiped off his face when he saw them. Cream was actually so happy that she didn't notice how scarred up they were. Ash's ears drooped and he slowly walked over to Mephiles. Mephiles knew this hedgehog . . . The hedgehog grinned sinisterly and almost tackled Mephiles.
    "Hiya Mephie!" Ash leaped onto Mephiles and hugged him. Mephiles seemed particularly annoyed by the little hedgehog's greeting and shoved him off. The panting hedgehog then looked really closely into Mephiles eyes and then his face turned greenish. Then he started snickering and started dancing around yelling, "Mephie has a girlfriend! Mephie has a girlfriend!"
    "Shut up!" Mephiles gave the bothersome hedgehog a stern look and growled. Ash had the ability to read minds and control them, so he obviously had seen his memory of kissing Amy.
    Cream giggled and said, "Hi Mr. Shadow! This is my new friend, Ash! I didn't know that Ash knew Mephiles!" Cream seemed overjoyed. Shadow was even afraid to tell her about Amy's condition, because of how excited and cheerful the young rabbit was. Cream strode over to Ash and her smile faded. She now looked extremely worried and her eyes got really big. "What happened to Amy?" Shadow sighed and glanced down at her. Mephiles's green eyes were still fixed on Ash. This little hedgehog at times may seem hyper and good-spirited, but he was very short-tempered. Mephiles had learned to tolerate his constant pestering a long for a long time, but sometimes he couldn't control his anger. The little hedgehog would do anything to make him angry. Mephiles hadn't seen Ash in forever . . . Ever since Mephiles had been imprisoned in the scepter a year ago, Ash had been sneaking around only lurking in places where he knew that he wouldn't be irritated. Ash had very little resistance over his emotions. If Ash was angry, he would harness the powers of chaos and darkness to release his fury.
    "Amy has returned to normal. Mephiles has given up and agreed to help us fight against the creatures." Shadow explained to Cream. Ash smiled and looked at Shadow.
    "You mean my chaos bringers?" Ash laughed.
    "You're . . ." Shadow felt pure rage run through his veins. "Those things were yours?!" Shadow was about to choke the hedgehog to death. Mephiles shot a worried glance to Shadow and Cream whimpered because she knew that no good would come for what was about to happen next.
    "Yeah." Ash answered with his eyes half open. He shrugged and turned to Mephiles. "Not my fault they came out to play though. I have no control over them. They just don't attack me. I can't wait until the eclipse!" He grinned and put his fists up to his chin. "It's going to be awesome. All humans will be destroyed!" He started laughing evilly and looked over at Cream. "I won't let them hurt you though, Cream. I won't have anyone to play with if you and Cheese get hurt. Just think . . .all the pathetic humans will finally realize the ultimate power of darkness!"
    "Shadow, don't anger him. He's more powerful than you think." Shadow glared at Mephiles. He then felt betrayed.
    "You knew, you knew all along that the terrible creatures that hurt my Rose were unleashed by this . . .this monster?!" He faced Ash. "You're sick . . ." All seven chaos emeralds appeared around Shadow. After Mephiles had used the emerald to revive Amy, it had returned to Shadow. The emeralds began to circle around Shadow and then went into him. He had changed into Super Shadow. Ash was aware that Shadow was about to attack his so he also prepared for attack. He took out his gem and put it up to his nose and closed his eyes. Dark energy gathered around him. As he gathered energy, Amy, who was still in Shadow's arms slowly opened her eyes and looked up at Shadow. Shadow stared down at her and a single tear ran down his cheek. "It's going to be okay, Amy. I promise." Shadow gently lied Amy in Mephiles's arms and whispered to him, "Keep her safe." Shadow shut his eyes and sighed. "This could get bloody." He opened his eyes and braced himself for the battle. He took a deep breath and turned to Ash.
    "You ready? This may be your last day." The dark hedgehog grinned and tossed his gem and caught it repeatedly in his hand. The little hedgehog that he had once thought to be powerless had turned into and enraged, forceful animal. He placed the gem on his white patch of fur on his chest and it seemed to stick to him, like a magnet. He flexed his fingers and then pressed his hands together, closed his eyes, and leaned his head down so his nose touched the tip of his fingers. Then he breathed in deeply.
    "I'm ready for anything." Shadow replied. Shadow gathered all the strength he had and was ready to attack. "I'm not afraid of you . . ."
    "Well, you should be. It's not going to be any fun to play with you unless you actually have a chance, so I'll give you a hint. I can clearly read all of your thoughts, so I'll know when you are going to attack." The hedgehog opened his eyes, which had changed from a deep blue to a fiery red. He winked at Shadow.
    "I don't want to hurt a little kid." Shadow teased him as he was beginning to levitate off the ground. The grin on Ash's face disappeared.
    "Be polite and bow before a legendary battle." The hedgehog growled. Shadow did as told but the hedgehog bared his teeth and sprang at Shadow while he was bowing. Shadow felt claws dig into his back and blood ooze out. Shadow smacked the kid off him and used so much force to do it the light hedgehog fell to the ground the rolled a few times through the mud. Ash snarled and was about ready to strike back, but Shadow took his fist and punched him in the stomach so hard he almost choked. Ash fell, but shortly after got up and slashed Shadow from behind.
    "Play nice now, Shadow." Ash said while smirking. Shadow turned and used his spin dash to attack. Quickly Ash formed a dark energy orb in his hands and used it to defend himself form Shadow. Shadow hit the orb and kept trying to get through it. Sparks flew from the orb because it had heated up. Ash then thrust the orb forward,  causing Shadow to fly of and hit the ground. Dirt flew out from underneath him from the force of his impact. Ash laughed at Shadow's failure. Shadow stood up but staggered a bit before he got his balance back. Ash few at him and grabbed his shoulders to push him away. Shadow was quick enough to put his hands on Ash's shoulder to fight back. They pushed each other with an incredible amount of force. Shadow began trembling and couldn't last much longer. Finally his muscles gave. He was thrust forward so hard that the ground shook violently when he hit it. Shadow got up quivering. Ash shot at him and quickly slashed him, kicked him in the face, and shoved him back into the ground. Suddenly everything went black . . . It all seemed to fade along with time and his pain . . . Shadow then heard a soft voice in his head.
    "Shadow, if you try harder, you can live to fight another day . . ." A young blonde girl whispered to him.
    "Maria?" She giggled and ruffled his quills.
    "Be strong. You are going to return to the fight very soon. I know you can do it Shadow . . ."
    "Maria!"
    "Just remember, in all chaos, we find ourselves."
    "Maria . . ."
